Ursula and Valens join forces and travel across many lands, competing in gladiator tournaments where they recruit a variety of warriors. They also become immersed in the evil plot to revive the dark god. Once this wicked plan is put into action, the gladiator games cease and the small band of fighters go on a challenging quest to solve the mystery of the dark god and defeat those who would bring him back to the land of the living.
Gladius features a story mode as well as exhibition battles against computer-controlled opponents or up to four players in cooperative mode. Upon finishing the game, the tournament system remains open so players can continue to build up their characters and explore the game's four unique territories.

BATTLE MODE

Triangle Button Used during some Swing Meter attacks; or before initiating combat, press to see a description of the selected skill.
Square Button Used during some Swing Meter attacks; or before initiating combat, place cursor over any gladiator and press to view character-related information.
Circle Button Used during some Swing Meter attacks or to cancel action.
L2 Button Press to view combat initiative stack. When viewing character-related information, press to cycle through innate skills, item statuses and status effects.
L1 Button Press to view complete list of skill commands from the Skill Selection bar. When viewing character-related information, press to cycle through innate skills, item statuses and status effects.
R2 Button Press to alter the path/line that your gladiator takes in battle.
R1 Button Press to view your character's line of site during battle.

God Camera Code
This code must be entered during a Pause Screen during a battle. You must enter it correctly. If you make a mistake, unpause the game, then pause it again. To exit God Camera Mode, press Start or Circle.

Easy Money and Equipment.
Hire a gladiator from the recruiting pool then unequip all of his/her equipment. You can then expel the stripped gladiator from your school and sell/use that equipment. It's cheaper than buying equipmnent from the vendors and you can sell back excess equipment you've obtained this way at a handsome profit because the hire costs are far less than how much the items' values.
This a great way to make a profit off of the excess of recruits in the recruiting pool and also be able to afford some the more expensive equipment in the game. |
Unlimited Money
Location: Imperia Beach, anywhere on the sand.
Method: During the dawn hours of each day, you can search the beach for items. Simply leave your movement control in neutral (ie: Stopped), and Press A. A Searching box will come up, after a few seconds the results of the search will appear. If you didn't find anything, simply move a few paces and try again. If you did, Select ''Pick it Up''.
Remember you can only do this during the dawn hours, once morning is over, you can no longer search the beach.
Once you have your loot, take it to the nearest shop and sell! In one morning, which is a few minutes real time, I made over $100,000. | Exploiting load times
Certain skills have absurdly long load times like Skeleton 1 for the Undead Summoner class. In timed matches the clock keeps running while the skill is loading, so you can run the clock down rather easily with a slow loading skill. Summoning a skeleton when you are in control of Hot Spot or King of The Hill is a good way to eat up time. I've used this trick to win multiple KotH and Hot Spot battles where the enemy should have overpowered me. Skeleton 1 can often take over a minute to load and at a point a second you earn 6 points just from summoning another dude. It's a decent trick and probably the only good thing I think of that has to do with some of the brutally long load times.
