Directional Buttons 8-Way Run. Roll Up (When Knocked Down).

Combo #1 X + Up-Left, Up, or Up-Right (Tap) = Jump.

Combo #3 Control Pad Right + X = High-Level or Mid-Level Parry
Combo #4 Control Pad Left + X = Mid-Level or Low-Level Parry
Combo #5 Directional Pad + X (While Being Thrown to Ground) = Quick Recovery
Choose Victory Animation
After winning a round and you see the replay showing, pressing each button( [X], [O], etc...) will result in a different victory animation and speech. This also works when the opponent wins.

New weapon disciplines for Custom Characters
As you level up your characters in Chronicles of the Sword, the character's class will begin to aquire new Disciplines. These disciplines apply from then on to any custom character you have of that class, and give them acess to new weapon types. Here is a list of all weapon disciplines, and what classes are able to use them, and at what level.
Note: The Swordsmaster Class automatically gets all Weapon Disciplines that are available to custom characters, but does not get the Soul of (Character) Disciplines.
Note 2: When a discipline is obtained at Level 1, that is the normal discipline available to the character

Play 418 Battles in either VS Standard or VS Competition. Alternately, by unlocking the Lakeside Arena (No cage), Egyptian Temple (Cage), and Grand Labyrinth (All 3 forms), you can unlock it. After unlocking it, however, you must buy it from the Item Shop for 60000 gold. |
Character Dialogue Before Fight
When you have selected your character to fight with (in any mode where it shows the 2 combatants face to face) and the loading scene appears, press any button for your character to say something. You can only do this once per load.
Money Glitch
Go to the Chronicles of the Sword and lose. Save and exit, buy stuff at the shops but do not save. Then go back to the Chronicles of the Sword and lose again. Every time that this is done, you should notice that the money counter should be the same even before you went to the shop. Handy for getting all weapons.
Extra Color Edit
Go to the Standard Character Color Edit and select a female character (or certain male characters). Select any weapon and when the screen fades to black, press and hold L1+L2+R1+R2. You should hear a sound confirming the entry has worked once the screen returns. Now you can edit the color on a fourth article of clothing. This only works with some outfits on some characters only. |
Third ending for Kilik
When viewing the ending scene for Kilik, when prompted to press A+G, press B+G to view a third ending. |
